The final expansion to the 2011 roguelike is coming very soon. Under the title, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, creator Edmund McMillen claims the expansion will drop later this year

McMillen claims the expansion, which is “sequel-sized,” will expand greatly on the 2011 title with tons of new floors, alternate paths, items, bosses, story elements, and more added into the game. The release date reveal came in the form of a trailer.

The Binding of Isaac revitalized interest in the roguelike genre, leading to a cult following and enough sales to warrant expansions, a console release, and spin-offs. Repentance is launching on March 31, 2021.
