During the tailend of a June 11 Treehouse Live video, Nintendo of America’s assistant manager of product marketing, Samantha Robertson, noted friends will be able to play online together in the future. Robertson sat down with executive producer, Takashi Tezuka in a lengthy half-hour gameplay showcase of Super Mario Maker 2. At the end of the video, she had dropped an almost off-hand comment mentioning friends playing together.

Super Mario Maker 2 is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on June 25.
