Sony’s Refund Policy Wasn’t Ready For Cyberpunk 2077

As if you need reminding, but Cyberpunk 2077 hit store shelves and while some, mainly the PC players, can find immense enjoyment in the latest of CD Projekt Red’s projects, others have a hard time getting into it – especially the console players as the game’s riddled with terrible bugs.

This is, of course, where the studio comes in apologizing to those unhappy with the title. All in all, while the statement was clearly trying to sway players to stick with it and wait for patches to fix the game’s mediocre quality, it also did tell users to request a refund if they don’t want to wait for said updates.

While this was a nice gesture, PlayStation players are having an immensely difficult time getting their money back. You see, Sony’s refund policy is pretty strict and clearly, CD Projekt and Sony haven’t cut a deal to skirt its stringent policy.

As it stands, to be eligible for a refund, players must both request a refund within 14 days of your purchase and – here’s the important part – must not have been downloaded or streamed. This is extremely bad for a majority of players expecting that they’d get their $59.99 (at the least) back.

Needless to say, this soured a lot as CD Projekt promised refunds it seemingly couldn’t guarantee. That said, there’s one last glimmer of possible hope – helpmerefund@cdprojekt.com.

Let’s just hope Cyberpunk 2077 gets better for those stuck with the game for good.
