Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gets Review Bombed over Going on Sale a Month After Release

A little over a month has passed since the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The game was received pretty warmly and is available across the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox One. However, glancing over on Steam’s reviews, you may not know that this game holds favorable reviews.

Recently, Steam had a discount put toward Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This discount slashed the price down by $20 from its initial $60 price tag. No one is blaming the angry consumers for their discontent with their pre-purchase.

Many users felt they were cheated out of a lower price tag just for being a Tomb Raider fan willing to pre-order their copy. Now, the rating for Shadow of the Tomb Raider lowered down to sixty-six percent.

There were, however, people defending the game and its sale, telling passing users to “ignore the salty reviewbombers”.

People who wanted to play this game at launch bought it at launch. It makes absolutely no difference that the devs have put it on sale ~1 month later.
You’re either the type of person that wanted to play this at launch or the type that waited for it to go on sale.[/perfectpullquote]

The sale ended sometime today.
