The notable battle royale, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, AKA PUBG, has been banned in Nepal. In a statement via Reuters, Nepal Telecommunications Authority’s deputy director, Sandip Adhikari, explained their reason behind this ban.

We have ordered the ban on PUBG because it is addictive to children and teenagers.

Following a request from Nepal’s FIA, all internet service providers, network service providers, and mobile operators have blocked the battle royale. PUBG launched back in 2017 with a fair bit of acclaim as the other side of Fortnite, a grimmer game over all. They were clear, though, to mention that there were no official reports of incidents tied to the game. But, rather it was due to worried parents.

This isn’t the first time bans have been thrown around. Earlier this month, Prince Harry called on parents to shield their child from “irresponsible” games like Fortnite. Not with parental controls or simply watching your kid, no, by outright not letting the game in their household.

PUBG is available on PS4, PC, iOS, Android, and Xbox One.
