Palworld Looks Like Pokémon With Guns

There’s already been plenty of Pokémon-inspired titles be it fan-made or unique in their own rights with their own bells and whistles. Developer Pocketpair is no exception to this as they’ve just launched a trailer for their Pokémon-inspired crafting survival shooter, Palworld.

Instead of making efforts to be the very best that no one ever was, you’re taking on the task of battling the elements and others with your enlisted Pals and your guns. That’s right, you get to shoot guns in this game.

It’s also clearly much darker than its inspiration, with Palworld allowing the player to not only capture the creatures to battle against poachers, but also build up your base – don’t worry, there’s no labor laws protecting Pals. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, though, you may go the route of poaching them yourself and even eating the critters, though, apparently that’s illegal but the repercussions you’ll face hasn’t been disclosed just yet.

If Pocketpair sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve heard of their other project, Craftopia, which holds similarities to both Pokémon and Breath of the Wild.

Pocketpair’s multiplayer open-world Pokémon-inspired shooter is coming to Steam sometime in 2022.
