Anime’s most powerful super hero, One Punch Man, is getting a video game adaptation. The One Punch Man: The Hero Nobody Knows trailer shows off a 3D battle arena combat. Similar to other Bandai Namco games like My Hero One’s Justice and Jump Force. This is an odd choice for many because One Punch Man is an unstoppable force.
For those who don’t know, One Punch Man is anime about a super hero named, Saitama. A man that trained so hard that his hair fell out and can defeat any foe in one punch. This ultimately makes him depressed because he receives no thrills from any fights. Saitama seeks a worthy foe that will one day rekindle his passion.
Through out the entire anime, Saitama is shown to be like a god compared to all other characters in the anime. Sounds boring, but trust me, the anime is hilarious and thrilling. However, will this translate well to video game format? It would be boring if Saitama was invincible, so I imagine his health bar drops.
Sadly, the official PR states that the game won’t receive a English dub. Probably to drop the price of publishing the game.
Many and myself included, are staying very skeptical about this game, but who knows. Maybe developer, Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco crack the code for a One Punch Man game.
No official release date has been announced for One Punch Man: The Hero Nobody Knows. We do know the game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. No word about it coming to the Nintendo Switch.
