It’s fairly clear that Adi Shankar, the showrunner for Netflix‘s Castlevania is a huge anime fan, now he’s gone on record for another show he wants to make. It appears he wants to make a live-action series with My Hero Academia.
According to IGN, Shankar put it at the top of his wishlist and when asked what he’d do with the adaptation, he had a simple response.
It’s that tone that Pixar really nails – adult themes, not watered down.
Though nothing is official, we can only hope that he could do something with My Hero Academia in the future. Last week, Shankar tossed out into the world a fan-trailer for a dark Pokémon parody called The End of Pokémon.
He also said he’d love to do something with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Tiger and Bunny, and Gundam.
Shankar is working on the upcoming Devil May Cry series announced last year as well as another season of Castlevania.
What do you think of the news? Do you want this to happen? Do you think this would be crossing a line on Shankar’s part?
