Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga apparently runs like a dream on Switch. In a statement from TT Games to Nintendo Everything, the first build even played that way.
“It’s been really good actually. The first build that we had on Switch ran like a dream, so it’s great.”
The statement went on to explain one of TT Games’ biggest console in the US is the Switch, so they didn’t want to mess it up.
“With the new technology, we started off and had that in mind because Switch is one of our biggest platforms actually in the US, so we really want to do it justice on that platform.”
Another person a part of TT expressed his love for Nintendo and tacked the entirety of the studio. He also went forward to note you can look back at their catalog and see a Nintendo console, ala the Wii as part of the original Lego Star Wars games.
“We love Switch. We love Nintendo. TT loves Nintendo, right? If you go back to the original Star Wars games with the Complete Saga which is one of the first game that I worked on back in 2006 – those games and Indy 1, and that kind of stuff, they were on Wii and then the Wii U.”
Due to how long it has been making games, they pride themselves at making sure no matter the console, the game will run just about the same. On that note, they even mentioned the Switch wasn’t that much of a challenge for them.
“TT has been really good about doing the same game across all platforms without having to make it so much worse because we’ve been doing this for a long, long time. So the Switch, that’s not a challenge for us. Yeah there’s different technical hardware and software things with all consoles, but we work hard to make sure the experience is as good as it can be on all platforms including Switch.”
For the past while now, the studio has been hard at work making Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game will let you complete each section in any order you want with a grand total of 45 levels to complete. Since this is a Lego game, though, there are sure to be collectibles to find along the way for the diehard completionist.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is due out sometime in 2020 for the PS4, Switch, PC, and Xbox One.
