505 Games confirmed that Lab Zero Games – the developers behind Skullgirls – will release their latest game, Indivisible, on October 8th. Interestingly, many have noticed that the action role-playing game draws elements from classics, such as Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid. In other words, we may have a hit on our hands.
Indivisible stars Ajna, a “good-natured tomboy with a rebellious streak”. Detailed in her quest to discover the truth behind the mysterious powers that appear when her town suffers from attacks. With this, a variety of playable heroes join her on her journey – helping her learn more abilities, take on new environments, and defeat enemies.
Additionally, an official description of Indivisible describes it as follows:
The game’s huge fantasy world, characters and aesthetic design are inspired by various cultures and mythologies. Throughout Ajna’s quest, she’ll encounter many “incarnations”; people she can absorb into herself and manifest to fight alongside her. There are many incarnations to recruit, each with their own story and personality. By uniting people from faraway lands, Ajna will learn about herself, the world she inhabits and, most importantly, how to save it.
Lab Zero originally announced and crowdfunded Indivisible in 2015 through Indiegogo. The move met great reception. As a result, the studio managed to rake in more than $2 million.
The classic-inspired action game is currently available for pre-order on Steam. That version of Indivisible comes with character skins inspired by Valve games Half-Life, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Furthermore, players can secure a Portal Companion Cube.
As for its official release, Indivisible is set to grace Linux, Mac, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One this October 8. Similarly, a Nintendo Switch version, also in development, will arrive at a later date.
