Hulu Open To Reviving Cancelled Marvel Shows

Fans of Marvel’s Netflix shows, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, have been given hope of possible revival. This is thanks to Hulu Original’s senior vice president, Craig Erwich. During an interview with TheWrap, he expressed his interest in reviving the shows on the streaming platform.

When asked by TheWrap if Hulu would have interest in reviving one of those series.

Marvel has a ton of titles we’d be interested in. It kind of just depends on when they’re ready, [and] who, most importantly, is going to be behind these things.

Hulu had also announced the expansion of their relationship with Marvel, with a deal for Marvel TV to produce four adult animated series: Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Hit-Monkey, and Tigra & Dazzler – which would lead to a crossover special, The Offenders.

We’ve had a relationship with Marvel since ‘Runaways,’ we’re getting into business on these animated shows . . .

Erwich added.

I’m sure it will lead to — you know, business gets you business — we have a good creative relationship with them. That’s where opportunities tend to arise.

This is similar to the 2015 deal between Netflix and Marvel TV, where it would produce four shows leading to the culmination of a crossover special. Erwich said that the deal may be similar, but they are not attempting to imitate what Netflix has done.

This all follows after last year’s cancellation of Iron Fist‘s second season, Luke Cage and its second season, and Daredevil‘s third season. The fates of The Punisher, which aired its second season in January and Jessica Jones, which is set to release its third season were also sealed as both series have been cancelled.

How hopeful are you for the Hulu revival? Are we to expect more Daredevil-hallway fight scenes? Let us know in the comments below.
