Grunting may be in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

At E3, Warner Bros. Games and TT Games announced the next entry to their LEGO Star Wars franchise, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This entry may even have the ability to turn off voices for those wanting a nostalgic trip.

In earlier branded LEGO games, the developer tossed aside voice acting in favor of grunts. These grunts, much like older games like Banjo-Tooie, cause some gamers to fall into nostalgia. That being said, as LEGO games became more profitable and popular, the grunts were replaced by actual voices.

At the time, it wasn’t too bad, most people shrugged it off. But, as people began finding voice acting was the go-to, some were a bit annoyed. With this game coming out, people really want to feel nostalgic. For that reason, fans were vocal about their love for the LEGO Star Wars: Complete Saga.

The LEGO game line of games were meant to be silly, but with the addition of voice acting, they lost some luster with the slap-stick comedy following that it garnered. While the voices could allow for some more unique stories or jokes, fans simply have a soft-spot for the silly, nonsensical ramblings of Indiana Jones to his assistant.

For that very reason, there may be an option to turn sensical speech into nonsensical mumbles.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will focus on all nine films alongside its spin-off, Rise of Skywalker. The game is coming out sometime in 2020 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One.
