March 2019 will mark the time frame to keep on the lookout for the latest DLC for Final Fantasy XV; Episode Ardyn. The DLC puts you in the shoes of the main antagonist, Ardyn, prior to the events of Final Fantasy XV. This was only one of three more DLC that was announced and it seemed promising; the more character development the better. Sadly, though, it all fell through; the three other DLCs that drew attention to other characters will remain incomplete. The other DLCs announced would have focused on Aranea, Lunafreya, and Noctis respectively.
The cancellation follows the company turning their attention to a new company by the name of Luminous Productions. With the team’s resources directed into two separate paths, it was decided they would take a chance with the newly founded studio. Luminous Productions aims to produce a AAA game that no one has ever seen.
Luckily, the fate of the Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades is not too bleak. Instead of tossing it aside and leaving the players feeling like they lost money, the expansion will have a standalone release for the Xbox One consoles and PS4. If you owned the expansion, you will be able to download it for free. No price, if there is one, has been released for players who just want the multiplayer experience. For PC, Comrades remain the same with ongoing updates available.
Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades will be released on December 12 in the US and 13, in Europe and Japan.
