Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Has Been Taken Off EU’s PlayStation Store

In December, people noted a specific game was quietly delisted from the US PlayStation Store. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was released in 2015 in Japan with the rest of the world got it in 2016. People thought nothing of its disappearance since it was only in the North American Store. You could still find it in the European PlayStation Store. So, some thought it was a glitch.

But, that’s crumbling down as the title was suddenly pulled from the European Store as well. Redditor SydMontague claims they contacted customer support and was told the following:

The game is outdated and we focus our efforts on still supported games.

The user went on to mention that support brought up Hacker’s Memory. There’s one issue with that entry, though, it’s a side story. It isn’t a remaster. It takes place in tandem with the Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. With that in mind: how can you expect people to get the best they can when half the story is not played?

That being said, this rumor isn’t the most reputable. The user making this claim doesn’t clarify which support they contacted. This vital information leads some to be weary of this rumor. But, it is still off the digital market and can only be acquired through purchasing physical Japanese-English versions online.

To many, this event is a validating reason why physical copies – if an option – are normally more reliable than digital.

PixelBay has reached out to both PlayStation and Bandai Namco for clarification as to why they delisted the title.
