Borderlands 3 Vinyl Records To Launch Next Year

The way people consume music has changed, but for novelty sake, Borderlands 3 creators 2K is launching the entire soundtrack on vinyl via Laced Records in the upcoming future. Up for pre-orders, there are two versions you can snag. One version, which goes for $35, will include two Borderlands 3 vinyl records colored white and red totaling at 17 tracks. Meanwhile, the $80 version will include four tracks themed after each of the protagonists and 34 tracks in total.

The soundtrack includes compositions from Jasper Kyd, the composter for Darksiders II and Assassin’s Creed II. Michael McCann, the composter for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, also makes an appearance. Borderlands 3 isn’t the first to get the record release treatment. Both Days Gone and Metal Gear Solid released their soundtracks to records in the past few months.

The records aren’t the only place to get your fix of Borderlands music. All the games have their music released to streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Despite a small bump in the road, the latest entry to the franchise was a rousing success at launch. While not everyone enjoyed their decision to go the Epic Games Store route, fans were willing to set that aside for the chance to enjoy another life in the bizarre world of Pandora.

The Borderlands 3 vinyl records are releasing January 2020.
