With less than 50 days before release, Gearbox has confirmed on their official Twitter that they are “Pleased to announce that Borderlands 3 has gone GOLD! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen! We’ll see you September 13th Vault Hunters!”.

For those who do not know, when a game “goes gold” before release, it means that the development and debugging stages of the game have been finished and the master copy (final edition before release) is ready to be put onto discs and distributed to stores worldwide. The majority of the time between the game going gold and release is meant for copies to be sent to retailers and buyers across the world.

Borderlands 3 launches on September 13th on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and on the Epic Game Store. Borderlands 3 launches on Steam in April 2020.
