Anchorman writer and director, Adam McKay wishes to be behind a film around a specific Marvel hero. On an episode of the Happy Sad Confused Podcast hosted by MTV’s Josh Horowitz, the hosted asked what Marvel character he’d love to direct a film on. While his initial reaction was Nova, he settled in on Silver Surfer.

This wouldn’t be the first time McKay has graced the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having directed the 2015 Ant-Man film. Following that film, he hasn’t worked with Marvel since then.

It’s unsure how plausible this would happen, after all, the property is under Fox’s control but, with Disney purchasing Fox’s assets, the possibility is up in the air.

Another factor to consider is the critical failure back with 2007’s Rise of the Silver Surfer. This failure may have dissuaded any further use of Silver Surfer. But, the possibility is still there.
